Martin Treacy was appointed to act as the Employers Agent to assist on creating a new office environment and remodel two of Camelot’s buildings forming their headquarter estate in Watford. Services provided included the procurement and management of the refurbishment and fitting out process, which included Cat A and Cat B works. Buildings were stripped back to the core, which was made particularly difficult as the buildings remained in occupation during the phased programme. Key aspects are listed below.
- Pulling together a team of specialist consultants, agreeing the construction process and monitored quality of the works.
- Coordinating with the landlord monitoring surveyor and agreeing with the landlord the value of contributions to CAT A works.
- Providing cost consultancy advice and managing the client budget and change control.
- Coordinating the fitting out and management of the works with Camelot’s service providers.
- Ensuring Camelot’s occupational requirements were communicated to the project and operational team and managing the programme to adapt to Camelot’s changing business requirements.
- Monitoring quality issues of the Cat A and Cat B fit out works.
