AME prepared the specification, obtained tenders and managed roofing renewal and structural repair work. Key aspects included:
- Initial survey to recommend the scope of work and likely costs.
- Analysis of repair options.
- Liaison with the listed building officer. Preparation of listed building planning application and agreement to proposals.
- Briefing and appointing specialist consultants including structural engineers and asbestos specialists.
- Preparation of a specification and drawings.
- Conducting a tender process and managing the appointment of a contractor under a JCT Contract.
- Monitoring the works on site, acting as the Contract Administrator.
- Cost and quality control.
- Regular client updates on key issues and progress.
- Agreement of a licence with the neighbour to place scaffolding on their land.
- Preparation of a Schedule of Condition as part of the scaffold licence.
